Project description

Scone Road is a well utilized inter regional tourist road, providing a direct link to Upper Hunter Shire Council and the World Heritage Barrington Tops National Park. Up to 1000 vehicle per day utilize this road. The current gravel section is narrow (generally less than 5m), often very rough and slippery in the wet. The school bus utilizes this route.

Progressive widening and sealing of this road is slowly improving safety and amenity for all road users . It is proposed to extend the seal by a further 3.5 km. (3.0 km was extended in last years RTR program). The school bus utilizes this route.
