Project description

The project will provide for:
 - the development of strategic design to concept stage and detailed design, for delivery readiness of the Upgrade of Appin Road between Rosemeadow and Appin. 

 - a Corridor study between Appin Road and Spring Farm Parkway/Menangle Road. 

 - an upgrade of 3.5kms along Appin Road between Brian Road, Appin, and Mount Gilead.

Benefits

The planned outcomes for the Appin Road corridor from the Appin Road Safety Improvements between Appin and Rosemeadow project include the following: Reducing the number and severity of road crashes. Improving traffic flow and efficiency leading to a higher level of service. Accelerating housing development in the area.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $122 million to the Appin Road project.

Timetable

The project is expected to commence in Early 2025 and be completed in Mid 2026.
