Project description

The project replaced the existing timber bridge over Saltwater River with a new single lane bridge deck and guard rails, using the existing concrete abutments.

Benefits

The project has improved safety, increased load capacity, improved freight efficiency and reduced maintenance costs.

Funding

The total cost of the project was $120,500.  The Australian Government and the Tasman Council each committed $60,250 to the project.

Timetable

Construction commenced on 7 April 2017 and was completed on 14 July 2017.
