Project description

Local residents have expressed concern in the past regarding driver behaviour, speeding traffic and amenity in Ether Crescent and Diane Crescent. Traffic Data collected has shown 70-75% of traffic is travelling above the 50km/h speed limit, with the 85th percentile travelling at 61km/hr. Esther Crescent and Diane Crescent have been observed to be used as a vehicle short cut to by pass Bellara Drive and Manchester Road intersection. The road parallel, Lee Anne Crescent in Croydon has speed cushions which may have directed a number of vehicles onto Esther Crescent. Consultation has occurred with 72% or residents supporting Local Area Traffic Management (speed and through traffic deterrent) treatments on the their street.
