Project description

Queue length to turn right from Abernethy Road (North/West) into Wright Street (South/West) exceeds the turning bay length and disrupts/impeedes the through traffic at the traffic signal controlled intersection.

Length, width and area of job: 130m x 11m = 1,430m2. Widen Abernethy Road North/West of Wright Street intersection to accommodate a longer right turn lane South/West into Wright Street. Modify drainage to suit new layout, reconstruct median island, relocate existing centrally located double outreach light pole and overlay section of works with a new asphalt wearing course.
