Project description

This is a highly trafficked urban road within a busy industrial precinct of the City of Queanbeyan. The existing asphaltic concrete surface is cracked and uneven. Potential exists for this failing seal to allow water to penetrate the pavement which, at this point in time, remains serviceable. The area is a high maintenance liability for Council. The asphaltic surface needs to be replaced.

It is proposed to mill (remove) the existing asphaltic concrete surface from the entire 265 metre length of the work site and across the full 12 width and replace with a new asphalt surface. The works will include the installation of new linemarking and associated traffic facilities.

Total cost of proposed project is $162,956
