Project description

The project will upgrade Canterbury Road between Dorset Road and Montrose Road.  The project will remove the existing roundabout and install traffic signals at the intersection of Canterbury Road, Montrose Road and Mount Dandenong Tourist Drive.

The project is expected to improve safety and efficiency for all road users and support economic growth in the region.

Funding

The Australian Government is contributing $20 million to the project.

Timetable

Major construction works commenced in early 2024 and are expected to be completed in early 2025.
