Project description

This is the narrow 4.5 metres pavement dangerous to road trains using the road for cattle, fuel and general goods transport for stations. The widening of the pavement will reduce risk of an accident. The Calvert road is extensively used by the heavy vehicles in the support of pastoral proprieties, mining and aboriginal communities and is used as an alternative route to Queensland.

Widen 17 kilometres of pavement 2 metres each side between chainage 122.48 to 131.48 kilometres.
