Project description

The proposed section has the following defects: extensive cracking including fatigue/crocodile cracking and longitudinal cracks, deep depressions along the length of the road in the wheel paths. The existing asphalt surface is old, oxidised and brittle. There are major surface failures and moderate pavement failures.

The proposed treatment consists of full depth asphalt pavement or in situ stabilisation of existing pavement and new asphalt surfacing including improvements to subsurface drainage.
