Project description

This dirt road requires regular maintenance and restoration work to rectify deterioration. Due to increased rains, this section of road has significant sand drift damage. 30km section of the road 250km East of the Western Australian border of has been closed. This section will be dry in approximately 2 weeks enabling road to be graded. These problems represent significant safety hazards for road users including Oak Valley community members, service providers, suppliers, mining workers, tourists and other travellers due to the poor condition of the road and increased risk of collision with camels and other large animals emerging from the overgrown parts of roadsides.
