Project description

The streets have a narrow bitumen seal which is insufficient for vehicles to pass, without kerb and channel and scouring is a major issue. Due to the narrowness of the seal vehicles need to drive on the adjacent unsealed shoulders when passing which generates a dust hazard. During rain events potholes form readily, immediately adjacent to the bitumen edge which deteriorates the unsealed shoulder further.

Reconstruction of the existing pavement and the installation of kerb and channel to formalise the carriageway to a 10.5m standard, minimise dust and improve drainage.
