Project description

The surface of Gentle Annie Road in the proposed work location is unsealed and does not have sufficient road base, which results in potholes and ruts, which reduces the speed at which vehicles may travel along the road. There are two sharp curves in the work location which reduces sight distance for vehicles. Furthermore, the existing surface becomes slippery during and after rainfall

The proposed work involves; earthworks to allow road widening at two curves within the work location, installation of pipe culverts to improve drainage, increasing the width of the road pavement by up to 1.5m on both sides of the existing pavement, overlaying the pavement with up to 300mm compacted road base material.
