Project description
The Geelong Rail Line Upgrade project involves the planning for a transit corridor between Marshall, Armstrong Creek and Torquay.
Benefits
The study will provide strategic guidance for the Greater Geelong and Surf Coast councils, and will support future upgrades to provide improved transport connectivity to Armstrong Creek and the surrounding communities.
Funding
The Australian Government has committed $10 million towards the project.
Timetable
The planning study commenced in mid-2020 and is expected to be completed by late 2024.
