The existing bitumen surface is very aged and is breaking up causing pavement potholes, shoving, outer wheel paths and edge breaks. In several location the stone has stripped off indicating that the binder (bitumen) is losing it adhesiveness.

Correct surface defects potholes/shoves, maintenance grade the shoulders, import gravel to shape and widen shoulders were necessary and then apply a bitumen seal to the 6 metre width using a 14mm aggregate.
