Project description

Price Avenue has a total length of 1.3 kilometres from Wattlebury Avenue, Lower Mitcham to Springbank Road, Clapham. The segment of Price Avenue identified for rehabilitation within the scope of this project is between Anson Avenue and Springbank Road. This section of road has a spray sealed surface applied in 1995. The road has lost considerable sections of aggregate from the surface. Several service trenches have failed along its length. This segment of Price Avenue is 280 meters in length, with a width varying between 6.8 and 8.6 meters. Price Avenue is a local collector road with a vehicle traffic volume of 1,200 vehicles per day.

It is proposed to replace the road seal and pavement with a deep lift asphalt pavement followed by a 40mm Asphalt seal. Some minor kerb renewal will be included in the project.
