Project description

Mingbool Road is a heavy vehicle by-pass road and provide access for commodity freight to the A1 Princess Highway into Victoria for the horticulture, agriculture, dairy and forestry industries north of the City of Mount Gambier. The road is currently not fit for purpose as it is too narrow for heavy vehicles and requires widening. The road is rutting, cracking and particularly unsafe for users particularly in wet weather conditions with line marking to be refreshed to improved delineation.

The Work proposed to Stage (1&2) 4.2km section of Mingbool Road includes widening the overall carriageway width from 6m to 10m. Pavement will be surfaced to a thicker surface from 200mm to 300mm

Total cost of proposed project is $619,835
