Project description

Harvey Road is the major feeder road servicing some of the most rapidly expanding areas, resulting in an increase in vehicular traffic and students at Clinton State School. With an excess of 350 vehicles parked directly opposite the school and with over 900 students currently enrolled, the risk of an accident is high as the traffic interaction is currently controlled by two manned pedestrian crossings, which has been identified as inadequate and struggles to control pedestrian and traffic flow.

Road pavement renewal and resurfacing works. Construction of a set of pedestrian traffic lights at the intersection of Harvey Road and Marley Brown car park access and general lighting upgrade.

Total cost of proposed project is $3,370,000
