Project description

This project is to replace and upgrade the existing pavement on John T Bell Drive. This is to reduce improve asset service life and ride quality on school and public bus routes. This will lower current and future maintenance costs and provide an acceptable Level of Service for this asset.

Stage 2 Works following on from Stage 1 which was McNaughton Ave to Grange Ave. Design and construction to rehabilitate approximately 250m of 12m wide road pavement and K&G. Works include pavement, subsoil drainage, stormwater drainage.

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
