Boomjie Road is part of the Douglas Daly region that is a significant area for cattle, Mahogany and Sandalwood harvest and tourism. During wet, the road is flooded and is restricted for heavy vehicles for period up to six months. Construction of a floodway will minimise the issue of road holding water.

Construct a 170 m long Reinforced Concrete Floodway from chainage 1.18 to 1.35 kilometres.
