Project description

Emergency works due to unforeseen reconstruction required for vehicular ferry to keep it in a safe, usable and serviceable condition and in accordance with AMSA regulations. Works on the under hull will increase the longevity of the service by 15 years and the replacement steel handrails with stainless steel.

Emergency Outage Costs include the provision of alternative route and equity of access as follows: • Vehicular Barge Hire and operators – capacity for single vehicle (ferry capacity 20 vehicles) • Water Taxi Hire and operators – capacity 15 persons and minimum freight (ferry capacity of 150 persons) • Bus on Raymond Island and drivers – when vehicles remained on the mainland • Welding & Fabrication • Project Management • Ferry outage services & Ferry operating contractor (part) • Blasting and Painting Contractor • Slip yard owner & Overseeing Authority • Paint Supplier • AMSA Accredited Marines Surveyor • Pressure Welding Specialist Company.
