Project description

The Warrnambool Rail Line Upgrade completed the construction of a crossing loop, signalling and level crossing upgrades, and upgrades to Waurn Ponds Station.

Benefits

The project improved passenger rail services on the Warrnambool Rail Line.

Funding

The total cost of the project was $284.7 million. The Australian Government contributed $255.9 million.

Timetable

The project commenced construction in early 2020 and completed constuction in late 2022.
