Project description

The project will deliver upgrades to the North Coast Line between Beerburrum and Nambour to increase capacity and support future growth and demand in the region. The works will include duplication of the track between Beerburrum and Beerwah, expansion of park and ride facilities, and construction of road overpasses at Burgess Street, Barrs Road and Beerburrum Road.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $616.7 million towards the project, with the Queensland Government committing $387,500,000 for a total commitment of $1,004.2 million.
