Project description

The existing asphalt road surface is rutted and undulating along the wheel paths. It is ravelling in sections and has longitudinal, transverse and minor crocodile cracking present. Sections of the channel/roadway edge are breaking away.

It is proposed to profile and re-sheet the existing road surface to a depth of 50mm for the entire area (5300 m2) with 10mm type H asphalt and applying bi-tack strips as required. Full pavement reconstruction will be done on the ravelled areas (100m2).
