Project description

The road has a narrow 5.1 metre pavement and lack of shoulders on a blind corners near the top of the range. Passing of two heavy vehicles is hazardous due to the width of existing road. The road is a significant freight route.

The proposed works will widen the existing 5.1 metre carriageway to an 8.0 metre wide sealed formation. Earthworks will be required at both ends (north and south) of the project. The existing pavement to be mechanically stabilised.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,280,587
