Project description

The Business Case will look at options to upgrade the Centenary Motorway in south-east Brisbane. The business case will look at options to improve the current design, and enhance safety, amenity and connectivity along the route.

The Centenary Motorway plays a critical role within the broader south east Queensland transport network by connecting the outer western, inner and northern suburbs of Brisbane and beyond to the trade coast region.

Benefits

If constructed, this project is expected to deliver improved travel times and road safety for all road users, and improved connectivity between people with jobs and services, and goods with markets.

Funding

The Australian Government is contributing $10 million towards the project. 

Timetable

The study commenced in late-2022 and is expected to be completed in mid-2026.
