Project description
This project will include:
-Pavement upgrades and shoulder sealing on six high priority areas along the Eyre Peninsula Network.
-Construction of overtaking lanes on Lincoln Highway, Western Approach Road, Flinders Highway and Tod Highway.
-Intersection improvements at four roundabouts on Liverpool Street in Port Lincoln and the installation of guard rails on targeted areas on Birdseye Highway between Cleve and Cowell.
Benefits
The project will improve safety for all road users, network connectivity, and freight productivity.
Funding
The Australian Government is funding on an 80:20 ratio in conjunction with the SA Government.
Timetable
Construction commenced in early 2020 and is expected to be completed by late 2023.
