Project description

The problems with the current road are that there is flooding occurring on this road network, there is inadequate parking for tourists and sporting club users on this road, there is poor street lighting and finally that pedestrian access along the road is currently poor.

The works proposed involve widening 140 meters of Hesse Street by 2 meters on the west side with new kerb and channel, 25 new parking bays on the east side of the road, a new 525mm diameter stormwater drain, 500m of new shared path 2.5m wide, upgrade of street lighting and provision of traffic control through provision of two wombat crossings

Total cost of proposed project is $1,356,837
