Project description

A new bridge crossing the Hawkesbury River between Richmond and North Richmond, a bypass of Richmond Town Centre and associated road upgrades. 

Benefits

The project is expected to improve accessibility, connectivity and travel times; increase road capacity; improve road safety; and increase flood immunity.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $400 million towards the project.

Timetable

Construction commenced in mid-2025 and is expected to be completed by late 2029.
