Project description

As this is the shortest road connecting Yuendumu and Willowra, considerable volume of traffic using this road section. Presently, Mt Denison –Willowra road is a flat blade track and not meets the standards, has very low level of service and low level of safety for road users.

Grade the area between the inverts of both table drains. Remove all obstructions including dead trees, fallen branches and regrowth from area to be graded. Win material from the area between the inverts of both table drains and the edges of the shoulders. Cut the pavement to remove all corrugations and fill in all ruts, holes and depressions. Spread the accumulated material uniformly over the pavement to fill depressions and to obtain the typical cross section of a formed road. Wet mix and roll to produce a uniform and tightly bound surface free of corrugations, ruts and depressions. Compact with required number of passes distributed evenly over the carriageway/pavement, and to be between the outer edges of the pavement.
