Project description
An existing traffic bridge on Grices Road, adjacent to Grices Rd Reserve has been identified for significant structural repair works. To facilitate the bridge repair works, the bridge will need to be closed off to traffic for a considerable period of time. Therefore the duplication of Grices Road between Berwick Cranbourne Road and Viewgrand Drive has been proposed to ensure Grices Road remains operational during the existing bridge repair works by utilising the duplicated western carriageways to retain connectivity. Duplication works will also help accommodate future traffic volumes in the area. The proposed works includes the construction of 2 additional westbound traffic lanes on Grices Road, between Berwick Cranbourne Road and Viewgrand Drive to create a 4 lane carriageway. The works also includes upgrading the existing traffic signalising at Grices Road and Berwick Cranbourne Road and a new traffic bridge .
Total cost of proposed project is $7,056,955
