Project description

Winton Rd is a formed, unsealed road, servicing growing horticultural businesses (cherry farms). Winton Rd is subject to increasing traffic load from commercial vehicles and customers/ tourists, especially during the cherry season. The gravel surface has become an unacceptable service level, with dust generation effecting adjoining crops, and rapid deteriation presenting a maintenance bruden for Council.

Rip and reconstruct existing sub-base, add crushed rock and construct new base, reshape road side swale to suit new levels, seal Winton Rd with 40 mm AC10 (asphalt wearing course).
