Project description

The pavement on Newman Rd in Charleston has failed, resulting in pot holes, ruts, and undulations. The road also no longer meets the needs of the growing community; Neman Rd services a new development and needs to be upgraded to a more urban standard.

Box out existing failed pavement and reconstruct with crushed rock. Box out in-situ material and construct new pavement in crushed rock to widening Newman Rd. Construt new kerb, pit, pipes and underground stormwater. Seal the full width of Newman Rd with asphalt. Construct footpath along one side of Newman Rd.

Total cost of proposed project is $576,494
