Project description

The current pavement at this intersection is showing signs of pavement stress. The intersection is part of a major heavy vehicle route connecting national highway one to Yorkeys Crossing (north of Spencer Gulf). Modifications to the seal and strengthen the pavement is required to service these heavy vehicles.

Council is proposing to undertaken a deep lift pavement treatment by removing 100mm from the existing surface and pavement and replacing it with 100mm asphalt overlay. This will strengthen the pavement and provide shape correction through the intersection.
