Project description

This segment of road is situtated in gilgai country which is highly reactive. The road sub base has disappeared as it was constructed with natural soil in the area. Pot holes greater than 0.5 m in depth have been patched recently and the section is highly unsafe to the public.

Council proposes to: - Excavate down approx 1.2m to expose unstable gilgai soil layer. - Proof roll a base layer for the sub base followed by placing a 0.6 m sub base layer - Place the final 0.2 m base layer - Primer-seal with a 7/14 mm scatter coat - Guidepost
