Project description

The unsealed road between 4.20 - 9.11 km is wearing and has not survived very well due to excessive amount of oversize rocks in the local gravel pits. Traffic has been avoiding using the gravel carriageway and driving on the table drains and batters. Surface is unacceptable as driving surface.

The best engineering solution is to undertake gravel re-sheeting to cover the worst section between chainage 4.20 - 9.11 km to restore formation as an acceptable driving surface for local residents access in Kintore community. This should solve the problem that is currently being experienced at Kintore.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,279,086
