Project description

Upgrade roads infrastructure on and around the Adelaide River to Wadeye corridor, including the Port Keats Road.

This project will improve:

  • connectivity between people with jobs and services, and goods with markets
  • freight efficiency, connectivity and travel time
  • economic productivity
  • road safety
  • flood immunity on a key route in the region

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $60 million to the Adelaide River to Wadeye Corridor Upgrade, with the Northern Territory Government committing $15 million. 

Timetable

Construction on the corridor commenced in mid 2020. Upgrades to the corridor will continue on a rolling basis.
