Project description

This project is for a feasibility study of the Silverdale Road corridor between Taylors Road, Silverdale and the Nepean River Crossing, Wallacia.

Improved traffic flow on the strategic road network, including Old Hume Highway/Camden Bypass and Hume Motorway

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
