Project description

The project will upgrade Governor Macquarie Drive between Newbridge Road and Alfred Road, Chipping Norton.

The project is expected to:

  • Improved traffic efficiency to all road users on Governor Macquarie Drive between Newbridge Road and Alfred Road
  • Improved performance of the existing signalised intersection by increasing capacity on Governor Macquarie Drive
  • Increased amenity for local residents with better traffic flow, enhanced road safety and better access between residential precincts and the arterial road network
  • Increased opportunities for local business with improved transport access to and from the shopping precincts
  • Improved road safety

The Australian Government funding is capped at $1,446,518.
