Project description

Road Safety and Heavy Vehicle Access are the two issues with this road. The existing pavement is narrow and in poor condition. This section of road is part of a school bus route and a section of the road carries small/medium volume of heavy vehicles. It will also allow an increase in heavy vehicle access along the first section up to Carver road to B-Double access.

Works will include the full rehabilitation of road pavement and reinstatement of a 2 coat bitumen seal to a width of 7m up to Carver Road, and then 6m from Carver to Ciavarella Road. The intersection of Walsh and Carver Road will require geometric road upgrade as well as drainage augmentation works.
