Project description

Base material has worn down on the existing surface and requires re-sheeting. The road is currently inadequately constructed with water run-off pooling on road verges. Road has very narrow sections and blind crests which creates safety issues with oncoming traffic. Road is currently a school bus route.

Re-sheeting of 9kms of road to a width of 9m and a depth of 150mm. Construct appropriate stormwater drainage on road verges to allow for water run-off. Road to be widened with blind crests removed by cutting down the hills.

Total cost of proposed project is $395,510
