Project description

During wet season storm-water draining of the Road surface is draining into crevices between the grated inlet pits/lintels/kerbing and the Road pavement, thus in places undermining the Road pavement, also the grates are damaged by age and weathering beyond repair. Additionally; the the new inlet grate will allow maintenance access to the storm water drop structure.

Removal of existing lintel replace with pre-cast lintels. Removal of existing apron and replace with precast apron. Removal of existing inlet grates replace with say class D Hinged bike safe galvanised (or similar material) grate. Replace 1m of existing kerbing either side of the grated inlet and transition new lintel. adjust the level of the intake to match the existing driving surface, reinstated disturbed pavement and driving surface. Total number of lip in line replacements 2
