Project description

Dip Rd has an existing concrete causeway crossing Farrell Flat Creek. The structure is estimated to be 40-50 years old with significant deterioration to the concrete deck with large sections breaking off. In wet years, the Farrell Flat creek can run up to 1m deep and 50m wide over Dip Rd and a semi permanent water hole is created either side of the road. Dip Rd provides an east-west connection to the major north-south transport corridor - Booborowie Rd.

Remove the existing concrete structure and replace with a new concrete deck. The existing dimensions of the floodway will be replicated as the design is adequate for the purpose. The deck is 40m in length and 7m in width. The replacement concrete deck will be 150mm thick. No alterations to road alignment or geometry is required.
