Project description

The Howard Creek Causeway on Tamborine-Oxenford Road is located approximately 11 kilometres west of Oxenford, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This project upgraded the Howard Creek Causeway to improve the safety of the road alignment and intersection layout and increase flood immunity for all road users.

Benefits

The project improved safety for all road users and increased the flood immunity of the road to provide continuous and safe access.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $9.28 million towards the $11.6 million project, in partnership with the Queensland Government.

Timetable

The project commenced construction in late 2021 and was completed in mid 2023.
