Project description
This project will realign the Western Freeway, Ballarat bound at Pykes Creek. This project will realign a 1.1 kilometre section of the westbound carriageway of the Western Freeway at Pykes Creek, east of Ballarat. The works will include earthworks, pavement and drainage upgrades, signage and line marking, and safety barrier installation.
Benefits
The project is expected to provide improved road safety for all road users, improved accessibility and connectivity of road networks.
Funding
The Australian Government is contributing $14.55 million to the project.
Timetable
This project is expected to commence construction in early 2025 and be completed by mid-2026.
