Project description

Project is from resident request to include right hand turning lane into West Hill Drive from Birmingham Rd as part of the Special Charge Scheme along West Hill Drive. Entrance into West Hill Drive is at the top of a steep hill, therefore issues of sight distance with seeing vehicles stopped waiting to turn right. Providing the right hand turn lane will provide a safe refuge for traffic wishing to turn right into West Hill Drive.

The existing road section at the intersection of Birmingham Road and West Hill Road is to be widened by approximately 3.5 metres on the north side of Birmingham Road. The works will also include construction of kerb and channel and underground drainage.
