Project description

The seal width is only 3.7 m which requires vehicles to drive off the seal when a vehicle is approaching from the other direction. This increases the wear of the edge of the bitumen seal and drop off from the seal to mthe gravel shoulder. This is a significant maintenance issue/cost. The existing seal is very old and is breaking up, causing potholes.

Reconstruct and widen existing road with a 150mm gravel overlay and widen to a 7m stone chip seal width with 1m gravel shoulders each side.
