Project description

The project proposes to address congestion and safety related issues between the Gateway Motorway interchange (where the motorway meets the Bruce Highway and the Gympie Arterial Road) and the Dohles Rocks Road intersection on the Bruce Highway.

This project will improve safety and reduce congestion and travel times.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $758 million towards the Project. This project is funded with the Queensland Government on an 80:20 basis.

Timetable

Construction is expected to commence in mid 2026 and be completed in late 2031.
