Project description

The Holdsworth Drive is affected by Cracking ,ravelling and patching, Complaints of skidding at Roundabout at Moreshed Road and install a new pedestrian crossing near Main Street Roundabout due to the developments and shopping centres in the vicinity.

It is proposed to Mill and fill 145 mm thickness of travel lanes and 40 mm of shoulder, including the roundabout at Moreshead Road and Construct a new pedestrian crossing near Main Street Roundabout. Length of the road to receive treatment is 380m and average width is 11.6 m.

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
