Project description

This section of road is hazardous and causes much damage to light and heavy vehicles. The surface in this area is consistent with large ironstone rocks. This project was selected from Bourke Shire Council's ten year plan through town and village tours consultation.

Sealing of two sections of road at a total length of 5.5 kilometres. Forming of existing material to form a subbase and import 200 millimetres of base material, water roll and compact to specification. Seal with a 14 millimetre and 7 millimetre aggregate with Class 170 bitumen. Installation of new culverts where required.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,120,182
