Project description

This section of road (90m length) and the level crossing to the railway has been identified by Toowoomba Regional Council as requiring upgrade for road and rail safety. The road is narrow, lacks delineation and rail warning systems, and is utilised by heavy vehicles. In association with the rail safety works, the road will be upgraded from a narrow 5 m wide seal to a 2-lane standard with sealed shoulders and curve widening to accommodate heavy vehicles.

Reconstruct the pavement and widen the road to a two-lane bitumen seal standard (7m wide seal on 9m wide formation).

Total cost of proposed project is $213,882
